Young Wrestlers compete in Waukee Tourney

On Saturday, November 27th the Colo-NESCO Youth Wrestling Club took five young wrestlers to their first wrestling tournament in Waukee. Trenton Beard took 1st,Drew Robinson and Jack McKinney came in 2nd, Tanner Halverson took 3rdand Sam McKinney came in 4th.

Flag Football Team Pictures

Here are team Pictures of the 2010 Colo Nesco Flag Football 9 to 11 year olds. The teams finished in 1st and 2nd in the league. Congratulations boys!

Flag Football is well underway!

The 2010 version of Colo Nesco Flag Football is well underway with some exciting action. Once again it's looking like the 9-11 year old Colo Nesco teams will finish the league in 1st and 2nd place as CN1 is undefeated and CN2's only loss is to CN1. Following are a couple pictures taken during one of the games. If any other parents have pictures they would like posted here, please contact Ken Tiarks and we will get them on the site.

Jacob Clatt is ready to take the snap from Garret Tiarks. Tyler Anthony and Sean Cutler are the other linemen. Wyatt Origer and Phillip Bower are the receivers split to the left.

Where: Fawcett Family Aquatic Center in Nevada
Date: Friday, August 13th, 8:00pm to 9:30pm

You are invited to a pool party sponsored by the Colo and Nesco Recreation Departments. This is for anyone that has participated in any recreation sport/program and the family and friends. Drinks will be provided. If you would like to bring a snack to share it would be appreciated.
There is no cost to attend. Bring a towela dn have FUN!!!

6th grade girls Basketball team ends weekend tournament with 2nd place finish!! Congratulations Girls

6th Grade Boys Bosketball finishes in 2nd at BCLUW!

The 6th grade Boys Basketball team finished a great day of Basketball at the BCLUW tournament in Union with a berth in the Championship game. Unfortunately they came up short in the game and finished in 2nd place but it is the highest finished ever for this group of players and they should be proud of the way they played all day.
